homework for 28.11.2011

   Dear Sam,

I am writing to give some kind of advise to you what to do in this kind of situation.
Of course, every parent is skared their child will live abroad and they will never see him or her again. But you just have to give them to understand, that they will not lose you.
First of all, you should try to talk to your parents or may be show them that you are serious about Gloria. Six mouth is a long period. Moreover you have to explain your feelings to your parents and ask them to try to accept your girlfriend. I think, It would be a great idea to introduce Gloria to your parents. Give them a chance to get to know her. If I were you, I would make a family evening. I would recomend you to start with words, that you understand their opinion and want them to understand yours. I hope my advise will hepl you!
I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely,

Dariia

Elukoha kirjeldamine

Ma elan korteris, mis asub kesklinnas, Jahu tänavas. See on väga mugav, sellepärast et kõik on väga lähedal. Viru Keskusesse minek võtab aega 15 minutit. Minu meelest see on kõige suurem pluss. 0. korrusel on meil garaaž, kus on parkimise kohad meie autodeks.

Historically, men were the hunters and women the homemakers. It should stay like that.

For many thousands of years, men have been thought of as the main "breadwinners" in families because of their strength and power. It has been the job of men to do work that either hunted food, grew food or earned money to pay for food. The women have cared for children, prepared food, cleaned the house and made and cared for clothes. However, it was never the "tradition" itself.
Today we hear many stories of men successfully achieving in the role of "house husband" while their ladies go out into the world to gather the "bread". А big number of men are comfortable with this position in life and can fulfil it to the same degree of success as their women.
Nowdays more and more women have good education and are able to earn a lot of money. I think it is connected with their wish to feel independent. In my opinion it is important for each person. Before it was not real for women to earn money, to have a job, to live abroad on her own, but now women can earn much more money than men and have more successful life than her husband.

I think now it just only depends on personal choice of the person.

Life in ten years time

I do not know what I am going to do tomorrow, so thinking about my life on ten years time for me is more difficult.
I have imagined: It Is 2021, I am 27, iPhones and Facebook seem as something old-fashioned. But it is not very important to me.
I would like to have a successful future. Generally, I would prefer living in another country, it could be Germany or England, for example. I hope to be married in ten years. Then after I will have at least two kids. May be I will start my own business. Furthermore, I will probably live in a luxury flat, not in a house! I would like to have enough time for my family and friends. I will try my best to be a good mother, wife and friend. That are my dreams and If I had an opportunity to choose my future life I would like to take this one.
I sincerely do not know wherever I will still be alive by then, and who I will be. But I know one thing for sure - I want to have lived my life to the fullest by then, and I can only achieve that by living my life now.

Education in Estonia

Nowdays education is one of the most important things in our life. You need it to have a success in future.
Do you want to be a doctor or a teacher, pilot or writer, you have to study.
In our country we have subject-centered curriculum. It means that we study all subjects and when we will be grown-up we can choose the best specialization.
But really I have observed that the teacher's role is no longer simply to feed information to students. Facts are available in libraries, on CD ROMs and in the Internet. What sudents need are skills to find this information. In our school we have many lessons where the teachers are helpers, not the masters. It teachs us to understand that our future, which depends on our education, is only in our hands.
If we had student-centered curriculum, we would know only that subjects, that we chose. In one way it is rather good, because we listen only that lessens, which we will need in our future job and do not spend time on unnecessary ones. But if in the future I will need the others?
So, I think, that Estonia has the right way of education.

Unfortunatelly, nowdays we live in the world of committing a lot of crimes. It seems to me, that due to those factors people do not feel safe and more severe punishment is offered.
In my opinion there are arguments for and against this suggestion.
Strict punishment can deter offenders from committing serious crimes. They will be afraid of being sent to prison or being executed. Such punishments as the death penalty, longlife unprisonment can be a worning and of course, will take rapists, murderers, assassins from people's community. We will have less deaths, assassinations and robberies. Our society will be a quiet place to live in.
On the other hand, severe punishment can lead to deaths of inoccent people as very often people, who have not committed crimes can be sentenced to death penalty. Moreover, our system of punishment is not ideal as doing time in prison can make people more agressive. Because of violent setuation in prisons 85% of prisoners commit harder crimes. Some reforms in panishment can be suggested, such as doing community service and giving a suspended sentence.
All things considered it could be said that there are a lot of points for and against severe punishment but society should think properly before sending people to prison and executing them (taking away their lives).

letter

    Dear Sir,
I am writing besause i would like to ask more information about the ballooning across Europe. I am very interested in suck kinds of journeys, but I would like some details.
I have read in your advertisment about accommodation and health and accident insurance. That all is understandable. But I have some questions about other things.
Firstly, it is not clear with baggage. All the time I take a lot of things to my holiday. Are there any weight limits?
Secondly, I would be grateful if you could tell me what clothes are suitable.
One more thing I am interested in is connected with the equipment. Is it provided? Could you send me more details about it? One more thing - the guide. Does he speak English language?
Could you please tell me about the food. I would prefer to include meals too, is it possible?
Finally, your advertisment also mentions that there any extras, whould you mind telling me what are they? And what does the price include?
I look forward to hearing from you.

    Yours faithfully,
    Daria Alexejeva.

I like traveling. Some recomendations from me.

I started traveling when I was 5. Due to my parents love, I have been in a lot of countries and do not want to stop. During the journey i prefer spending time on a beach rather than looking for the monuments, but sometimes they are really very interesting.
Travelling abroad is getting aesier and easier for young people nowdays. If you take the time to talk to travel amounts and shop around, some really good deals can be found.
It's quite a good idea to plan your route before you set off, we usually do it half a year before the journey.
Unbelievable bargains can be found by making last-minute booking for charter lights.
Remember to check in with your luggage two hours before take-off for international flights. But do not take too much with you or you will not be able to carry it to the bus or taxi that will take you to your hotel.
It is advisable to look after your passport and tickets carefully. If disaster strikes and all your valuables are stolen, contact your nearest embassy. There they will help you with all the paperwork and make sure you get home safely.
Good luck!

Why cloning should be banned?

People have invented a lot of things and adaptions to make our life easier. But that experiments with dollies, in my opinion, were unnecessary!

I don't know exactly what problems with health did they coused, but I am sure that peple should not be clonned!
Each of us is individual. There are not any people who has all similar in them. Each of us has his own fate, and clons, in my point of view, would destroy somthing in the world.

On the other hand, I think that it would be funny to have your own clon. If I did not want to go to a meeting with a boy, my clon could go instead me! That would be great! Or if mother did not let me to go for a walk, my clon would be at home instead me and I could enjoy the time with my friend!

But by the way, I think that cloning should be banned. If we all in the world are only in one exemplar, it must be this way!

The importance of memory

Each of us knows that with out past we don't have future. To remember best moments in our life we should have rather good memory.

Every day we meet people, who are connected with our past. This moments, what we keep in our memory, helps us not to do the same mistakes in our life and they teach us.

But it is not all. If you have got good memory, it supports us in our schools and universities. It is easier to learn subject if you have trained remembrance.

When I was 3-5 years old, my granny forced me to learn a lot of poatry.
I hated this. I did not understand what I was doing this for. But now, when I am at 10-th form,
I realize that it was really good idea.
Now it helps me alot. I can remeber words for languages, can make retellings, all the time I get 5,
when Russian teacher asks me on literature.

If I had an opportunity, I whould remember all my past.

english l event

Last year I had my birthday party at our summer house. It was a fancy dress party.
With my best friend we had the previous day decorating our living room with balloons and coloured lights. My mouther made an enormous cake.

The guests started arriving about six o'clock and I put on soma disco music so that everyone could dance.
I was wearing a clown costume with a curly red wig. I had painted my face all white with a big red smiling mouth and red plastic nose, but I became so hot while dancing that all my make-up started running down my face!
We also played exciting games, and then we sat down to eat pizza and our delicious birthday cake.

The entire evening was a huge success and everyone agreed that there was a lot of fun. I hope they will remember my party for a long time!
