The book "The body in the library" written by a famous detective writer Agatha Christie, describes investigating a crime committed in the library of the fictional English village of St. Mary Mead. 

The plot of the book tells about the suspect Colonel Bantry and the gossip in the small village, exaggerating details of the crime as the body is found naked. Mrs Bantry, the wife of the suspect, invites Miss Marple to help the Chief Constable of the police to look into the crime. The victim turns out to be a dancer of the Majestic Hotel, where a lot of strange guests stay, such as Yefferson and Ruby Keene. The situation becomes more complicated when another body is found in a burnt-out car. In the end the true killers, who appeared to be Yosie Turner and Mark Gaskell are found and the reason for murders is also discovered by Miss Marple.

The book is exciting, showing the curious and sociable personality of theamateur sleuth. The plot of the book is rather deep and intriguing. The main characters of the book are depicted in an interesting way.

In conclusion it should be said that "The body in the library" is worth reading. It can be recommended to the people, who like detectives, those people, who are interested in the British way of inhenitance, which can become the cause of murder.
